You can't underestimate the value of another inch...I can get in to all sorts of places with that extra inch. See the smile on my girlfriends face?!
I could make a comment about back spacing and girth I'm width but that would just be wrong

Bringing this one back to life............I'm in the same boat....3 or 4" lift with most likely 35" or a slim chance of 37" tires............GREAT TOPIC for me...thanks everyone....even the guy with a extra inch...

The 3" will cause less driveline and steering issues that will require additional parts or at the very least allow your stock parts to last longer.

Many brands including TF offer both a 3" and 4" with the main difference being the coils including Teraflex, Full Traction and Rubicon Express.
This is convenient if you want to go to 37's in the future, you can just upgrade the coils.
That slim chance of 37's can easily get fatter after you've 35s for a while.

OK....I think I am getting in with the low-slung crowd here. I currently have really worn-down 33's and will be buying tires within the next 2 months. But, I need some help and opinions. I think am about to got to defcon2 with my JK. I currently have a 2" BB with Superlift shocks, and I think 3/4" body lift (maybe 1" idk) on Dick Cepek Mud Country 33's. I have been satisfied with the Cepek's, but don't have experience with the various brands. Mostly mud/swamp as I'm in Florida, but I go to north Georgia plenty and need some flex. I am thinking go to 35's and chop the fenders (or maybe not.) Anyways, check out this pic, (note: these are 33's but they are WAY worn down....like I need tires now.)

6 month old pic....kind of gives you an idea of the terrain

So......

1. What brand/type 35's would you get?
2. Would you chop the fenders?
3. Overall opinions likes/dislikes on the rig and where I should go with it?

Quadratec has a chart that shows what size lift will be needed for various tires according to the lift manufacturers recommendation. Gives you a quick visual on prices and options.
