Default best front drive shaft for 08 JKU?

Hey fellas,

Been reading alot and having trouble deciding....which front driveshaft do you guys recommend for replacing the front on a rig that just does logging road and trails through the woods occasionally with the majority of driving being paved?

Getting the tell tale grease sling at the rear of the front shaft

Tom woods. The 1310 will be fine for your needs. Strong. Durable. Noticeable difference IMO. I put their rear on and will actually be ordering their front today to keep in the trunk as a spare for when my stock will inevitably go out

I have a front Woods also, but any of the name brands 'should' be fine. You may see reports of someone getting bad shafts/joints, but I think that is the exception more than an ongoing problem for any of the popular mfg's.

You could even check local to see if any driveline shops build them. (my local shop is significantly more expensive than aftermarket shafts, but other people have had good luck with this).

Thanks guys. As far as the Woods, do you have to measure or does he pre-make them for the JK's so to speak?

The info for measuring is on his website, but they have been building JK shafts for years now and should be able to make one with just your model and lift info. Give him a call.

So no measuring at all with a Coast? How about with Adams?

What do the aftermarket shafts do differently than stock to eliminate the issues?

After market DS are smaller in diameter less likely to hit crossover when flexed or droop, double Cardin u- joints , work better with pinion angles on lifted vehicles.
