Remove the muffler = $0

(thats what I got and the sound is pretty good)

I tried removing the muffler and it sounds good starting up and just sitting there but anything above idle didn't sound good to me but to each his own.

Yeah, that was when it only had 1k miles on it and hadnt been off road yet....
Now after 11 trips to the off-road parks later, lets just say its not as clean anymore

Default change of subject (well a little)

At idle its just loud enough to tell it has something aftermarket, at highway speed you cant even hear its there,
then just accelerate or mash the gas and you know it has something going on!
I didnt loose any performance at all, I think it may have gain some if anything.
Then I added the Airaid intake and it got even better.
I have a whole stainless system, no smashed spots, mandrel bends and all for $125


Question.. I did approx the same to mine and love it.. I didn't re-mount my heat shield though.. I was thinking about trying to wrap it around the evap canister etc. But would consider putting it where you did yours.. Can you tell/show me how you mounted yours?? thanks..

(I have a maganaflow 50 sries and a AEM cia) ]

As you can see in this pic, I re-used one of the bolts for the evap canister, and then I also used some washers and self-tapping screws into the frame cross-members.

Default Change in plans

K New muffler installed my Custom Exhaust shop opted to install the Flowmaster 40 series anyway . The 50 series was not loud enough for my liking. I hoping that a CAI will give it some more growl and a little more punch.
