Default Best battery with Warn 9.5ti winch - yellow or red?

I will be installing a Warn 9.5ti winch and want to upgrade the stock battery, if needed to either the "yellow" or "red" more powerful batteries.

1. Is an upgrade from stock needed (battery only 6 months old)?
2. Is the yellow more powerful battery worth paying more for over the red one?

Thanks,

Btw- you don't need to change batteries. Didn't read that part.

I have a yellow top, but that's mostly because I like yellow, but it does great. I have a winch too and a cheap one that probably draws more than it should. No issue so far.

I used to winch a lot with the stock battery in my LJ and it decided to die when it was only 2 years old. The bad thing is that I was in the middle of Indiana at a rest stop when it decided to not start my engine. The good thing was I was still under warranty and had free road side assistance.

A deep cycle battery or two will be extra insurance on a long trip. Keep the stocker as a backup if you don't trade it in.
