Best 35s ..
Hey guys, just trying to get a feel/input for recommended 35s. Muddy/crawler. Will be running on the stock (for time being) unlimited (3.73) gears and 2.6" of lift with 4.5 backspaced wheels. Tyres in Australia are a bloody rip off so before coughing up mega bucks, pretty keen to hear the score. I had Mickey Thompson MTZs in a 33 before, wanna try something new.
Have heard good things about the Nitto Mud Grapplers and the Pro-comp ATX. Any suggestions?????

i just put on some 315/70/17 (34.25'') goodyear duratracs. i like them quite a lot so far for on road comfort and their weight. i havnt went offroad yet with them (unfortunately) so i cant give any experience there.
i WANTED to go with some nitto trail grapplers, but everything ive read says they are REALLY heavy tires compared to most other options, and the duratracs seem to be on the light weight end of the spectrum.

I just bought some cooper stt's 35's, i had them on my other jeep i sold and looked forward to putting them on my jk, they are great off road as well as on road, people have said they have had chunking from heavy rock crawling but i have had good luck with them.

I'm not sure what brand availability and pricing are in Australia, but for all-around performance in all terrain (including mud/crawling and street driving) the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac is your best bet. However, you stated mud & crawling performance as your main criteria, so something along the lines of the Interco Super Swamper Bogger or Simex Centipede would maximize your performance. Everything in between these two ends of the spectrum will be a compromise.

None of use are going to know the pricing or availability in australia. Your best bet may be to just do some price searching on your end and give us the list that you narrow it down to. Giving opinions and pro's/con's on 2 or 3 tires would be better than just throwing out a bunch of suggestions that you either can't get a hold of, or that would be prohibitively expensive to have shipped in.
