A question I have Is in regards to on road quality.
I spoil my wife and she has a nice suv to drive her and my baby. Smooth.
She complains now that the stock ride in my 4 door rubicon is too rough. But she loves me and drives in it anyway even when she is easily prone to motion sickness.

So how much does road quality change with the RK 2.5. One of the reasons I had first choose OME is that I have heard of its excellent on road ride.
Well, to be honest, most of the stiffness will come down to shock selection. My Fox shocks are fairly stiff, so they certainly didn't make my Rubi ride any smoother. There are adjustable shocks out there that can be set on-the-fly. Some of those might be a worthwhile investment if you need to make the ride smoother when you're not wheeling.

That said, it's a Jeep. The solid axles and suspension will never be as smooth as a SUV.

At one point, though, you're going to need to decide which is a priority: highway driving OR rock crawling prowess. While many kits (such as the OME and AEV) offer great highway handling -- often better than stock -- I simply wouldn't recommend them if you do any actual rock crawling. They're good for light or moderate wheeling where you're not crazy flexing and off-camber the entire time, but they don't compare with the more complete kits when it comes time to climb over larger rocks and angles.

IMO, the on-road handling with the RK and MC kits is a fantastic compromise, especially when paired with the right shocks, but that's really something you're going to need to decide for yourself.

Check out the Rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks. There are some guys who run them with the RK kits, and they swear by them! I've even considered switching to those myself (if I can't solve my rear coil issues)...

When we first started, back in 2003, we actually were all about articulation, off-road ability and a soft, cushy ride on the road! Through our companies development, we have become good suspension tuners! We have found that we can offer great on road handling, ride quality and not loose the hard core off-road performance we have always been known for!

I'm grateful I had asked. I first thought I was sold only on the OME system. Then being introduced to RK and MC. I have abandoned my original plan with OME. I have found Rock Krawler and Metal Cloak much more a complete system.
Like the lower control arms and black finish for the RC system. Like the dura flex joints and ARM shocks on Metal Cloak. Leaning slightly towards MC at this point. They both have educational you tube videos describing their products. Will probably call them both and search out any new info and report back.

Wanted to say thanks for all the input from everyone. Started this tread almost a year ago and with your help did the research and pulled the trigger on metal cloak game changer lite 2.5 with OME shocks. I've learned a lot about companies I had no idea about. The kit is sitting in the garage. Will wait for a mild weekend to install. It's freezing right now.
