hey speaking of the SS. I don't get why Jeep installs it in their Jeeps. when wayoflife says that we don't need it if our steering is dialed. I'm assuming they are not dialed from the factory? or they are just wasting time and money on something that's completely worthless!

i never said an SS is worthless or that it isn't nice to have, it's just not "needed" so long as your suspension and steering are dialed in. an SS will help to dampen bump steer and kickback and that's a good thing. however, when people say that an SS is "necessary" to have especially when you're lifted and have bigger tires, that is simply not true.

lifting your jeep will change the position and geometery of your suspension and steering components. adjustable control arms, track bars, relocation brackets and a dropped pitman arm will allow you to make the corrections you need to obtain a good ride again.

Just one point of clarification... I keep seeing people mentioning that it is solid there for stronger. The reality of the matter is that you can obtain 95% of the strength with 15% of the thickness. Pound for pound, solid tie rods and not as strong as DOM. That being said, I do like the Rock krawler product because of the warranty.
