Your last comment is rather ironic considering you do something similar with this site.

[QUOTE=wayoflife;914829]ummm, we're talking about a tie-rod here. once it's set, you shouldn't need to adjust it again.
haha unless by some majical forces it streaches then you will need to adjust it again.

The person who wrote the shops criticism of it should look at the Tie Rod put out by that other company. I think they induced weakness unnecessarily in order to make it easily adjustable. Look at the double threaded sleeve and tell me that that is as strong as solid 1 5/8" chromoly bar.
Realistically, how hard is it to adjust the RK. Remove the bolt on end end, knock the ball joint out, give it a turn or two in whichever direction you want and reinstall it. On the initial install, assuming your stock tie rod is good, all you have to do is duplicate the center to center length of the stock unit and install it. You'll probably never have to adjust it again.
This damn thing is more like a Billy Club for King Kong than a tie rod. If you hurt this unit you have really F'd up a whole lot of other stuff too.

I agree with high country's quality, but their labor prices are a bit much. Ive gotten many parts from them through the years. Their advice is a little questionable though. They told me that no long arm kit will help the RTI score on a JK.

I have both the RK tie rod and drag link. BEEF! Yes they are solid, not DOM. I think that is where the debate comes in. There are several that believe a DOM is more difficult to bend than a solid. However, once a DOM bends, it is worthless and has lost almost all of its structural integrity. Considering the diameter of the solid RK rods, and their warranty, there is no better way to go in MY opinion. Two sides to every story...
Now, I will warn you... I cant use my Woods SS Relo Bracket anymore because of the larger diameter of the TR and DL. When I stuff the psgr front tire up, there simply isnt room on top of the TR for the SS. I could still run it below/behind the TR, but I've gone through 4 of them that way. Anyway, my steering is dialed in tight, so I'm not even running a SS anymore... Thought I would mention it though. Also, maybe lift, articulation, etc plays into how much room there is in that NARROW gap where the TR and DL scissor together... Dunno. I just know there isnt room righ there for mine.
