Bent sway bar bracket

Bent sway bar bracket
Yesterday pulling into my driveway my tires began to rub on something so I hopped out to check it out. Apparently I had a sway bar failure and the sway bar was rubbing my tire. Any idea why this might happen?
Here are a couple pictures of the bracket and sway bar failure.

Don't know but you're not alone. My buddy had the same thing. I'm assuming that the failure may be a consequence if the bent bracket? Like you hit a rock, bent it, and that put stress on the link.
But I don't know for sure. Any other theories?

Looks like the endlink made contact with the tierod while turning left. I bet u if you look at the back of the clamp in that pic, there's contact marks. Only thing I can think of is the top of the endlink let go and dropped onto the tierod. The turn left caught the clamp and did the rest of the damage. I can't see any other way the endlink would contact the tierod. Bend the tab back with a large crescent wrench and a new endlink.
