Bent a piece on my axle, help.

Default Bent a piece on my axle, help.

This labor day weekend I did some things and some stuff...i dont recommend it...this is the result. Anyway, i need some help in finding out if this bent piece can be replaced? can i order the piece and get it welded on? and yes that is oil everywhere. Thanks ahead of time! Makes me wonder what the oil is from. There should be no oil from that type of bend. Take a look around and try to figure out where the oil is coming from.

You will need to get a new bracket welded on. Dynatrac should be able to supply you with one to replace it.

That is a good example of what the EVO MFG Front Control Arm Skids are intended to prevent. Possibly look into these when you replace the bracket.

Why is there oil everywhere? did you hit the oil pan really hard too?

Could be from the steering stabilizer spewing junk everywhere

And yeah you can order new brackets and get them welded up.

i hit a ditch and the suspension compressed so hard a bolt on one of the linkages(?) came up and sliced my oil filter....my first thought was oil pan but i guess i got lucky.Click image for larger version

I beat my JK as hard as anyone, These skids have taken a lot of abuse and have survived very well. Highly recommeded. Especially if you are going to keep crashing into ditches

I did that before on my TJ. Clayton Offroad has new brackets. Just go to www.claytonoffroad.com. You will need to cut both old ones off and weld on the new ones. Not that hard just need someone who is a decent welder.

Will they work with the stock arms?

They do, I have them on my JK with stock CA
