Damn son! This is exactly what I'm worried about happening.... What was your sway bar angle prior to this happening? 0 degrees, 5 degrees etc? You think your links were too long? Hope you can salvage that tab and dont have to cut and reweld...... I have the AEV 2.5 and really hope this doesn't happen....... I really just want to know what is causing this bending issue (short of it coming from the factory as some have mentioned) I believe mine was straight from factory

You need longer links. The RK lifts run long shocks. I installed a RK 2.5" for a friend recently with the recommended Bilstein shocks and noticed it had lots of droop.

I looked at the tabs on my JK and they're not perfectly straight. Looks like a kid in a sweat shop welded them on.

^^^^this exactly. With long travel suspension you need to run the sway bar at a positive angle. Otherwise, you'll flip the sway bar and that's bad news. Don't fear the long link.

Mine were definitely sitting at a negative angle. I don't have any shots of it on level ground...

Thanks man... I got the tab bent back into place. Had a use a huge crescent wrench, plant my feet on the tire and row boat the tab back to straight. Now I can install the JKS that I bought.

Damn. Good job. I did the same thing to my passenger side tab last month. There wasn't much room to work so I attached a giant HF crescent wrench to it and banged away on the wrench with a 4 lb BFH. All straight now.
