Default Benchmark and River Raider

I don't know if you've seen this, but River Raider has redesigned their snorkel. Now it really looks like one instead of something that was once part of the gutters on your house. My question is; has someone figured out a way to adapt the RR snorkel system to a JK with the Benchmark dual battery tray? If I have to choose between the two, it'll be the dual batteries if for no other reason than I already have it ready to install. I'd rather add both and now that I've seen River Raider's, it really makes AEV's look like a clumsy after thought.

The problem I see with the snorkel is, while it does stop water from getting in the air box, the rest of the engine/JK needs waterproofing, Its not like the old CJ and willys days where they had no electronics....

If your running a welder, you need two batteries..

We'll be getting one of the new designs, however it's not available for a couple of weeks.

From what I understand this won't work with HEMI or other CIA system. You should shoot kenny at RR an email, they may be able to come up with something for you.

My opinion for the need of a snorkle if not really for water crossings would be as a cold air intake. I would be more excited for that than the need for high water. I never see anyone post if it gives any benefit for engine power.

Copy that! It would make way more sense in a diesel.

rumor has it... but of course no actual real testing has been done.... that folks have been claiming to get 1-2mpg more after the snorkel install.
