I would really like to do the Line-X but the closest one to me is about an hour away. I guess I could take the bumpers and drop them off then go pick them up the next day or something. Problem with that though is the way my work schedule is especially this time of year. Does the Line-X have any fading issues or do they have a protective you can buy as an add on? I just think if I spend $1500 in bumpers that they should look good for the basic life of the Jeep and if I have to spend a little money to protect my investment I think it is money well spent. If anyone has any pics of the 3 posted above please post. I would like to see the looks/textures.

no it doesn't have to be sanded down to the bare metal, that's bullshit.

I also bedlined my mopar bumpers. I used duplicolor bed liner. I gave them a good sanding then wiped them down and sprayed. I went duplicolor because it was cheap, if it gets messed up $6 and I can spray it again and being in NM now didn't know how the sun would try the coatings. After a year it was looking a bit faded so I used some back to black and they looked like new. I resently resprayed them just to add more coating (didn't need it) and after about 2 months now on issue respraying over the orginal. Have been painted for almost 2 years now no issues.

They only scuffed the powder coat. I think your getting hijacked about having to be bare metal.
Thanks for the pics and the info. That looks really good! I like the Jeep too! I think they are trying to stick one in me at Rhino. Like I said before I am no paint expert but I didn't think the bare metal thing sounded right. If they did that wouldn't they have to hit the metal with some kind of etching primer or something? Thanks again!

Can you post some close up pics? I looked in your albums and like what you did with the front bumper. Did you weld up that D-Ring setup yourself? That is so much better than the crush can tow hook look. All of you on here rock! I don't know if I am more addicted to my Jeep or this forum.

I thought so. I am not doing the Rhino for sure now unless I can find another dealer who will do it without trying to break one off in me!
