just ordered the antenna x 13inch, hopefully i will not see much change in reception, its 50/50 with these antennas

Hey everyone, Regarding cutting the existing antenna, what did you guys do about the sharp end on it, other than wire wheel or sand it down?

I just put the heat shrink material that you would put on wire connections on it. no reception problems
