Default bed liner and the antenna

for those of you who did the mod, did you rough the surface up at all or just spray it on?

I havent done this mod, but I usually try to scuff up and smooth/glossy surface before I paint it or apply a new finish. Good luck. If it gets messed up, you can always get an aftermarket shorty antenna.

I cut my antenna short then used $.99 flat black spray paint on it. I had a piece of sandpaper laying around that i did scuff it with.

I will be doing mine soon but you should rough up the paint with a wire wheel on a drill or use old fashioned sandpaper. This gives the liner something to grab on to

I went with the Antenna X as well and really like mine. Lots of other people who notice it comment that they want to get one too. It looks clean and doesn't affect reception really at all. Driving around town everything is the same. On the highway i maybe lose a little range over the longer stock antenna but i useually listen to the iPod or satellite anyway.
