Default which beadlocks to buy???

Wanting some input on which beadlocks I should purchase for my Unlimited. Any ones to stay away from?? I like the looks of the Spydertrax (poision spyders) but have heard alot of negative things. Trail Ready?? Walker Evans?? AEV?? Input would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, there is a 2010 product guide in the new 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Magazine this month.

I have talked with people who have or had both WE and PS...you cant go wrong with either. The PS have little ridges on the inside of the outer ring to "bite" into the tire bead to hold it better. Both are top quality wheels. I personally want WE due to the price is cheaper and I like the way they look...plus with the WE, you can choose different back spacing before they ship out.

If you wheel on rocks, and you want your jeep to look nice when it's clean, you will prefer the Walker Evans. I have had both, and the Poison Spyders, that I love, get scratched badly and look bad. The ring on the WE's is much smaller, and does not show the damage as bad.

LOL!! i love when people say that they've "heard" a ot of negative things about a product without specifying WHAT they've heard. perhaps it would help some of the people who actually have experience using these wheels to give you some real feedback if you could share with us some of the things that you've heard.

oh, btw, i am running spyderlocks now and like them a lot. and, i have also run WE's which are good beadlocks too....

for the record, we have wheeled the crap out of both bead locks and have not had any problems with either.

My main concern on the PS locks are that the insert spins when you try tightning the bolts down. That is what people on this site (do a search) have complained about the most and alot of people don't like the allen head bolts. Are they countersunk so rocks can't get them?? They also say they are made in I believe its China now, so quality??? Just going by what I read on this site!!

I know there are good and bad with everything. I have over 15K in acc and my current wheels are only 6 months old so I am just wanting a little better knowledge before I drop 2K more for beadlocks which I have never owned.

first off, all wheels are made in china. my w.e. are and so are the spyderlocks. the beadlocks rings are made here in the u.s. regarding spinning when tightening the bolts, i can only assume that the problem is an installer issue. as far as the bolts go, yeah, working with allen bolts is a pain but they do stay out of the way of rocks and that's a nice trade off for me. of course, i'm just going off of personal experience
