beadlocks are for running very low air pressure...i usually run between 4 to 12 psi depending on what i am doing.that being said unless your doing some really hard core rock crawling or running deep sand often bead locks most likely are not a necessity...also beadlock wheels require a lot more attention than conventional wheels and installing the tires and wheels your self is pretty much a must.cost wise they are a lot more and if you really need them and are using them right they will most likely be beaten to hell your first time out...on the other hand if you really do need them then they really are the only way 2 go

Beadlocks also prevent the tire from spinning on the rim thus throwing off the balance.
