I like the two tone color, and everyone does the black center polished lip look. I painted them first but with each scratch the paint would chip and flake away. A rock rash scratch looks good, a flaking paint scratch does not. My freshly powder coated rings already have a couple scratches but at least they aren't flaking and chipping.

A to Z Fab do it yourself beadlocks on crager soft 8's. I bought the wheels on Craigslist for $200 the DIY kit was like $300 and a spool of wire and flap discs from Harbor Freight for about $50 and I had a set of beadlocks.

To each their own. Mine came powder coated but even if they didn't - I'd still get them powder coated. I don't like the shiny look

This is another reason why I wouldnt do that with beadlocks and why I'm not spending money on a $500 pair of front or rear fenders plus powdering coating for them to be scratched up.

Alright guys I'm about to pull the trigger on some 5 x 17x9 Method 105s Matte Black beadlocks for $1358 shipped to my door.
Who is running deadlocks on a daily driver? I know they are not DOT approved, but who does it? Any issues?

You'll be good to go - have fun mounting your tires! Took me two solid nights after work if I remember correctly...maybe even three! Been trying to block it from my memory.
At first, I ran Dyna-beads but ended up vacuuming them out and having them road forced balanced. Much better!

Mine was a DD until last summer. Before that, I put 30k miles in 1.5yrs on my MR105’s and haven't had any issues. Not even a loose bolt as I stated earlier.
