Default battery replacement?

Anyone replaced the stock battery after installing a winch? ...or maybe even set up dual batteries? If so how did you do it and what did you use?

I put a red top Optima in last night. fit perfect. To bad their isn't enough room under the hood to install a double battery system.

Oops, my bad, by size I was referring to the physical battery size. What fitment group or what optima part number did you install?

I don't know the part number off hand. I bought it off Quadratec. I think the red top is one standard size. The Yellow top is a deep cycle battery and the blue top is a marine battery that can also be used in a 4x4. Here is the link.

Sorry I don't know much about this. Why did you go with the red top over the yellow top? Iv always heard the yellow top is the best... is that wrong? Do the optima batteries really stand up better than the stock one (as far as using a winch)?

The red top should do just fine with the stock alternator. The yellow is a deeper cycle that would also be fine, but probably not needed with the 160 Amp. alternator. JMO.
