Default Battery relocations

Has anyone done any interesting battery relocations? I know a lot of guys run dual battery set ups but has anyone relocated to make more room for things like snorkels?

I'm thinking of removing the stock pan in the rear of the tub where the jack is kept, and welding in a deeper one. It seems that with a smaller muffler you could make a nice little cubby back there. I'm thinking of adding a second battery and a compressor in it. Any thoughts?

You know they make larger tubs for the back right?

Never knew it had already been done. Looks pretty good to me. Thanks for the links.

Might not be for a few months. Got a couple mods that are higher on the docket than this, but I'll keep everyone posted.

I have two batteries crammed up in the engine compartment. There's not much space to do anything up there. I had to yank half my electricals to change out the RH front shock. If I were to do it over again, I'd relocate both batteries to that back compartment. Then there's no problem with getting into the RH side to work in the engine compartment, run wires for lights, change out a problem shock, install any snorkel you'd like, maybe put a small storage box...
