Default Battery - ever heard of this one?

picked up a Northstar X2 Deep Cycle yesterday. i was in a bit of a jam and didn't really have another option, at least for a deep cycle. the only one they had in stock was the marine version. I guess I can use the extra terminals. Here's the part where i got kicked straight in the nads...$280!!!

hope it lasts...

Yes optimas are expensive like that too. I've had 2 red tops. Never again but that's for another thread.

yeah, the yellow top was an option (and about $40 cheaper), but there was no way I could pull the trigger on the optima after all the failure stories i've been hearing and reading

I've used one for maybe two years now so far so good. Also Four wheeler included a northstar x2 battery in their battery bash test http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/15...attery-bashing

I bought a Optima Yellow from Bryan the 4WD rep on here. Was no where near that price. Can't remember exactly but it was definitely under $200 shipped. No issues with it but it's maybe only 8 months old.

I have the d27 northstar as well. Its rebraded as X2 by Batteries Plus. Great battery. Made in America! I had to shoehorn it in their though.

930 cold cranking amps and 195 min of reserve capacity. This thing weighs over 70lbs.
