Ball joint installation ripoff?
So I had a bunch of work done on the front suspension of my 2012 JKU after a nasty death wobble. This was about 8 months ago. I also had some upgrades done while it was in the shop. One of the components supposedly replaced were the upper and lower ball joints. After the work was completed I inspected everything but was so busy admiring my upgrades that I forgot to look at the ball joints. Today I was under my jeep and noticed the ball joints were really rusty. They don't look 8 months old. Does anybody have any idea if this is normal for ball joints to rust this bad after 8 months?

rust dosent mean old
they look full and stock ones usually look flat they prob just replaced with new but china metal sucks here on east coat things rust in one winter those rusted items really arnt the joint its inside the rubber part that counts
but those are not synergy that's for sure . / also upper one dosent look new just lowers, but cant really see well in photo provided about uppers
I think 8 months later would be hard to prove to anyone there they didn't
anyway if they used oem parts

The boots do look newer to me. The unpainted caps can rust quickly, depending on where you live. Within weeks of bringing my Jeep home surface rust was forming on the unprotected undercarriage items, like the drive shafts. I doubt they just replaced the boots so my guess is they did install new ones, although not necessarily quality ones since the caps were unpainted.
