Default Backspacing on wheels with lift question

Sorry I'm new to this forum and searched everywhere but can't find an answer. I have a 2 door 2015jk sport. It came with sahara 70th anniversary wheels. I bought 18x8.5" ultra crusher wheels to replace the stock wheels. They have 5.12" back spacing. I'm looking to install a 2.5" teraflex coil lift. Teraflex says requires 4.5" backspacing. But I've seen people running aev Pinter wheels which have 5.5" backspacing. So my question is will my new wheels work with the lift? I live in pa so wheel spacers are out because of our inspections here. Thank you for any help

I would just install and see if your rear tires clear the sway bar links. If they don't pick up a set of oem rear sway bar links and just run those. Just gotta be mindful on droop in the rear if you end up using oem rear links.

pintlers have 5.2" and clear fine. I ran them for a while with a teraflex lift that also said needed 4.5" bs with no issues. I did however not run the TF swaybar links as I have jks adjustables and that might be one reason they indicate touse 4.5" bs.

If it were me, I'd change wheels to proper backspace. Just because some got away with low clearance doesn't mean you will, because not all rigs are equal. It's the clearance on the rear tires hitting the rear sway links on compression that's an issue. You can tear the sidewalls that can blow on the trail or worse at speed on the highway after the damage is done. With the lift, you need longer sway links. The TF kit provides longer rear links and you swap the rear OEM links to the front. Doing a static test for clearance isn't the same as real world load. Just my opinion.

Ran that set up on 2 jeeps with the pintlers and never had a problem. And they do have a 5.2 backspace

Ok so if the pinters are 5.2 then my ultras that are 5.12 will give me even more room than the pinters Did you just install the links like the instruction or did you invert them.
