People post all the time asking for 'definitive' answers. But with all the variables, it is really hard to give the 'right' answer since we can't possibly know everything involved in 'your' situation. Just take the answers you get for what they are - that persons experience based on that persons specific setup - which isn't yours...

In addition to the tire example above, there could easily be 2 inches of height difference between two different mfg's lifts that they both state are the same height. Or 2 inches difference for the exact same lift, based on installing it on a 2door soft top manual with no added weight vs a 4door hardtop auto will full armor/winch/carrier/etc. Same lift, very different heights.
Or guys with Manuals giving gearing advice to guys with Auto's!!!!

You just have to do the research and try to decide what is right for you.
