Default Backspace help!!

I found a set of 5 20x9 wheels with 35" Toyo MT tires for a crazy good deal. I confirmed that these came off a JK, but the back spacing is +20mm. Will this work? I'm doing a 2.5" teraflex BB. Please help!!

Should be a 5.50" backspace. Stock is 6.25". With a 35x12.50, I would expect to rub when turning. (most lift mfg's suggest no more than a 4.50" BS for 35's). But, if you are buying from someone with a JK, why not just ask them?

a guy on CL who took them in on trade, but the original owner ran them on his JK...I'm wondering if he got rid of them because of the offset

What would they rub on? I'd rather not run a spacer with these but am wondering if I could do some trimming to prevent rubbing.

From my understanding 4.5" is ideal...
So if you want these why not just go buy some spacers.

If the tires are that good of a deal, buy them. Then find some cheap steelies with better backspacing, and just toss those wheels back on craigslist. Personally, I wouldn't buy wheels with the wrong bs and then buy spacers just so I could run them, but...

The Offset is +20mm this equals 5.29 inches backspacing. The tires will rub when you turn. One inch wheel spacers will set you up perfect.
