2 thumbs up for EVO sleeves and c-gusset kit, plus the sleeves have grease tits for lubing.

I just talked to the guys at Artec. Sounds like all of the pre-orders are shipping out today!!

I heard it can rub and from the tech end of it, not add the 30% strength like the sleeves, if you have a link, I'd like to read it!

I just put on the Artec truss to go with my Nitro hammer in sleeves and gussets. Its very well made and a great price. Im currently running Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35x12.5r18 on stock sahara 18's.
If my axles bend now, Im headed to the aftermarket!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the biggest concern is the knuckles. They are not engineered to handle the size and weight of such a large tire. If you hit something too hard or fast, you run the risk of bending the knuckles in. The gusets help to prevent that. The axle tubes can also be effected by larger tires in the same way. If bounce your front end of the ground from....whatever your doing you can bend the tubes up. If you slam into something going forward you can bend the tube back. If you looked at aftermarket axles they almost always have 3" tubes. Since you can't put 3" tubes on your stock axle housing the sleeve kit is the best way to add strength to the housing. It's still not as strong as having a larger diameter but its cheaper than a $3,000 + aftermarket housing.

If you're going with a locker and 4.88 gears, I'd definitely look into upgrading axle shafts to chromoly shafts. Lower gearing will send more torque down the shafts, and when you are locked and in a situation where one tire is off the ground, the opposite tire will get the 2nd tire's torque load, basically having all axle torque go through one axle shaft and u-joint. I bet these parts snapping have a lot higher probability than the axle housing bending.

I just bought a '13 rubicon. Do the outer "sleeves" really help? Since there not a solid piece of tubing, I mean.

Default axle beefing

I run 35" tires and my axle is now bent , don't make the same mistake , go straight for sleeves and inner c gussets as fast as you can , it's cheap insurance!
