Default Axle upgrade question???

So while I wont be doing this anytime soon I am curious. At some point I want to upgrade the axles to 60's can you do one at a time and if so which would/should you do first and whats involved in upgrading other than a lot of $$$$ ? Meaning is it just an axle swap or do I need to replace other parts as well.

thanks

I would do the front first personally, and throw spacer/adapters on the rear.

Are 60's wider than the 30/44? Is that why you need the adapters?

Sorry about that. Most 60's will go to a 5x5.5 pattern instead of the standard 5x5. SOme companies will give you the option of 5x5 or 5x5.5 but since you are going up you will want more strength in the shafts, a lot of people are going to 8 lug.

60's are wider, but I don't know how much wider, since they are "full length"

i'm with dynomax here and, it's the path that we took - dynatrac prorock 60 up front with wheel adapters in the rear to even up the axle width and convert the 5x5 to 5x5.5 bolt pattern.

Cool, Thank you! Just read your thread when you did your upgrade and watched the vid from dynatrac. Very cool stuff and looks like a well built product!

What you need will really be determined by- how you wheel, where you wheel and tire size you want to use. A more reasonable wheeler can get by with smaller parts but the 'I can break a steel ball in a rubber room' guy will need the big stuff. We make parts to cover nearly every type of wheeler with more coming soon.
