Axle truss
M looking to put an axle truss and c's on the jeep and was wondering what else need to be done while i do it? Ill be doing to work my self weldong and everything. Btw i have a rubi 44 up front

You *can* get away without replacing them but it's really the best time to do it.
Those control arm skids can be made from 3*3" plates if I remember right. You'll want to leave room for the control arms to drop out if you need to adjust them or replace them.
I also replaced the u-joints in my axle shafts when I did the C's and bj's. They had 120k miles on them and I had parts sitting around, time, and everything was already torn apart.
We should all be mindful when we're doing these big upgrades that we need to do them for functionality, not just to keep up with what the cool kids are running. If you are actually going to use/ abuse the axle, it may be a good time to look into installing ram assist, or at least the bracketry while you're in there.
