do you add sleeves or truss' to front and back axle?

Yes you have to remove the rotors because you will need to remove the axle to install the seals. Also, if you already have sleeves installed, you may not be able to add seals now because of the way they install into the tube. If the sleeves sit flush with the end of the tube like most do, then you won't have the clearance needed.

I would not add outer axle seals to a front axle. It will prevent you from noticing an inner axle seal leak, which could drain your dif enough to eat up pinion or carrier bearings.

If my shit is leaking I wanna know ASAP.

I wasnt even aware the axle housing had inner seals. where are they on each side of the differentials?

Front axle seals are next to the carrier bearings. All fluid is contained in the differential housing. The tubes are dry.

Rear axle seals are at the outer axle bearing by the flange. Fluid runs in both the tubes and the housing. This is why the rear hold more fluid per the service manual.

Thanks good info. I was up in the air about installing outer seals on my front axle but now im thinking twice
