that almost sounds like it would have to be with the od on, it would be much higher if he were running it in 3rd.

I've got 35's and 5.13's and turn 2600 rpm at 75 mph (by GPS). At 65 mph I'm turning 2250 rpm.

To my way of thinking this is the perfect combination for the JK, especially a heavy Unlimited. Stock (32"/4.10) was 2250 at 75 and prior to the gears (35"/4.10) was 2050. The cruise works much better and it will stay in OD a lot better. My milage is the same as stock; but the power is a lot better. Prior to the gears but with 35's I lost 4 mpg.

5.13's are the way to go. This little V6 likes to be above 2500 rpm and if you keep it under 3000 you won't hurt your fuel economy.

should be about 2400 for 5.13's at 70rpm with 35's in OD (.69 auto).

60 - 2038
65 - 2208
70 - 2378
75 - 2548

this is per this calculator: http://www.4lo.com/calc/gearratio.htm

you figure the rpm's may be just a tad higher than this due to tires not being actual 35".
Good post. And yes, my experience is very few 35s measure 35" when mounted. Some 315s are less then 34" depending on wheel width

My rpms are close to the above #s but milage drops for sure above 2500..I wish the rpms were a bit lower because I like to drive above 70 but I think it trns too high. OD works much better than before but not quite like stock..so all in all the 513s are the choice for the autos w/ 35s
