Default Aussie Locker vs. Lock-rite

Has anyone here who is using an Aussie Locker ever used a Lock-rite, or vice-versa? I am wondering if there is any difference in performance or strength. The price of the Aussie Locker appears hard to beat for a short term solution. Eventually I plan to do selectable lockers and gears, but I won't have that much cash for quite some time.

They are the same basic concept you won't go wrong with either, although I would prefer the aussie locker.

Some good information Here

I was thinking of this as well. How would it drive on the street front and rear. Would it push like a detroit locker? Also, does any one know how much noise they make? I have only used ARB lockers and am unfamiliar with the characteristics of the others. Thanks.

I have experience with loc-rites and aussielockers both

the locrites arent' nearly as quiet as the aussielocker but both companies have great customer service !

I switched my rear locrite out for a powertrax no slip and can hardly tell its back there ! the locrite out back use to ratchet loud as all hell pulling into parking spots ect..

any fulltime locker in the rear will pull if your tire pressure isn't within 1-2lbs of each other from side to side..

situation: u've not noticed that your passanger rear tire is a little low about 4-5lbs PSI lower then driver side as your shifting gears on the road way and release the clutch the vehicle will pull slightly to one side then return. Just need to keep in check with the tire pressure from side to side and never run a spare tire out back that isnt the same diameter as the other side .

For what they are worth and what i've invested compared to ARB's front / rear with the compressor kit ect..

Powertrax noslip - 380
Aussie Locker - 295

way less expensive and just as reliable as a ARB and yes they are in my daily driver

I really looked the Powertrax NoSlip "Locker" very hard, great review on quiet they are. I called PowerTrax & the gentlemen said they will not fit in our current D44 in the JK & they are working on one now. Does someone already have one in their D44 / JK and it does actully fit???

Is the power trax a locker or a limited slip? I already have the factory LS and don't want to replace it with the same thing.

Aussie are $250 each hope you didnt pay $295. The aussie is a great locker very quiet and it comes with a 3 year no tire restriction warranty.

Also just so you know we have been seeling aussie's for a coouple years now and have not had one go bad.
