Default Argent 17" Pintler vs. 17" Black Steel Procomp 98's?

I am stuck between the Pintlers and the black steels. Thoughts?

I have the steelies. My next set will be AEV Pintlers. I'm planning on puttin 35/37's on my existing 15" wheels (wheeling set) and 35" on the AEV's for daily driving.

I never cared much for the looks of the Pintlers. And don't they have too much back spacing to run 35s without spacers? Go for the black steels or upgrade to chrome steels. Put the $500 savings over the Pintlers in to other upgrades.

what are you talking about? backspacing with pintlers? no problems at all. My first lift was TF2.5BB and the 35's, no rubbing at all, even at full stuff. They actually stuck out approx .5 - 1 inch out from the fenders.

If he keeps OEM wheels with 35's then yes, wheel spacers would be needed, otherwise no.

ANYthing other than the steelies IMO....I've had nothing but problems with mine getting balanced right, and that's after replacing two of them. Sure, some people will say they've had no issues...but several HAVE. Personally, I'm not gonna take that chance any more....I'm going back to aluminum wheels ASAP.
