ARB Deluxe Bumper or ShrockWorks Stubby Bumper
#11
Just put the ARB bumper on last week, easy as can be. It did drop my stock height 1/2 inch for the stock bumper. Fit is perfect! Wiring is simple.
I got mine from David at Northridge 4X4, you should too

REMOVING PLASTIC
I would say forget trying to use a screw driver to remove the plastic expansion plugs that hold the top frame cover and bottom covers on. All of mine just spun. Pry them out with 2 flat screw drivers, or cut the bottoms off with side cuts.
WIRING
Wiring in the directions can seem confusing since it is showing pictures for right hand drive vehicle, but it really is now problem. To do the marker lights, I used the wires for the side markers. It is easy to unplug them where they enter the body, and that will give you more room to work.
Now keep in mind this for marker lights only. It will not be turn signals. Not that it needs to be but you could wire off the front lights and use the turn signal wires instead (separate relays for the lights), but then you would not have them as markers (2 wire light, need 3 wires to be able to do that).
The instructions for the fog lights say to cut the supplied wire into 4 equal lengths. I would cut the the wire, so that 2 of them are about 3 inches longer then the other 2. Then use the longer ones for the drivers side. This will make hooking up the drivers side light easier since the plug in is to the outside of the vehicle. The passenger side is to the inside of the vehicle, so it can handle being a little shorter.
MOUNTING
If you can, have a second person to put a bolt in each side.
If you are going to use the crush cans off of the original bumper (you have to cut those off, 4 inch grinder works well with thin blade), then you will have to line those up when installing the bumper. Instructions said to use a little silicon to tack the to the bumper, I had none. I just use a screw driver to line the holes up.
The 2 frame bolts, once you understand the picture, you will have no problems getting them in place, you will have to bend them a little. On one side off my frame the clearance for where they go was a little tight, but screw driver help line it up.
I don't really know how long it took my son and I to install it, No I wasn't drinking. We did it at work, and I had to stop allot and help customers. I would say about 3 or so hours.
I hope this helps with your install. I am just totally pleased with the way it turned out. I think that it is how the factory should have made it, forms right into the fenders perfectly!

Thank you very much!
It's pretty simple to do. I would recommend you take the 4 bolts that hold the plastic bumper on to the metal inner bumper first.

Thanks
Thanks for all the input, went with the ARB Deluxe bumper from Northridge, couldn't beat the price or the look with the stock fender flares as everyone mentioned. I'll post pix as soon as I mount the bumper, just waiting on the suspension to arrive.
Speaking of . . . . any suggestions on rear bumpers??? haha
