Default ARB Compressor

Hey guys, I just had an ARB locker and compressor installed in my rig (woo hoo!) but the compressor is mounted a little lower than I would like. Question is, is it okay for it to be submerged in water (or mud for that matter) for any length of time?

Here's a quote from a retail site, "We've tested this unit in ovens, freezers, underwater and in the silty dust of the Simpson Desert and it continues to perform."

But the ARB instructions say to mount in a location to "avoid submerging during water crossings."

Anyone with real world experience on this topic?

It was mounted under the battery on the firewall behind the passenger wheel well area. It's tucked out of the way but is lower than I'd like.

Yeah, I don't plan on running anything at the hood line but I wonder about splash as well.

I have one coming from David. Any chance I can hook it up to my snorkel?
