Would like to thank everyone for their input on this subject. It's not as easy as you would think to decide on your gear selection. There is alot to think about and a very large investment. $$ No one want's to get this wrong.

In fact Monday is my day off from work. So Monday morning I am going to stop over to the Shop doing my gears and tell them to put the 4:88's back on the shelf and set-aside the 5:13's for my install.

When do you get the gears installed?

Default Lockers

i had this same problem. my rear locker would take forever to disengage and the light to go out. eventually, it just wouldnt go off. so i took it to the dealer, i guess the sensor in the diff was jacked up. and they screwed that one up and i ended up with a brand new third member. now my lockers work very fast.

Default 513's Question

My question is how do you fix the problem of your JK wanting to jump down from overdrive from a slight incline at 60 mph. example on the highway. This may be a novice question. Is the 513's the answer. I am running 37's with auto trans with the 410's I may be getting old but I really miss setting the cruse control. I'm finding myself turning of the overdrive just so that won't happen. I'm at about 2800 rpm. not in overdrive at 60 mph. Is anyone running 37's in overdrive without that problem at 60 mph????????

wow, this might be the extra power I was looking for!

I have 33.5" tires with the standard rubi 411's I guess jumping up to the 513's would give me a nice boost then I can go bigger on the tire size next time with no worries!

I like it.

Are some gears better than others quality wise?

I would go 5.13 and be the hell done with it. I didn't buy my Jeep for an economy car.

when you go to 37's you have to redo both driveshafts?

Default price???

So what's everyone paying for a shop to install new gears front and back? Oh and I'm now convinced to get 5.13's for my 4" lift and 35s (when (if) the boss..I mean wife lets me)
