Oh it bothered the hell out of me as well... so i splurged and vwalla a winch appeared in that gaping hole. I got mine over the summer and I love it! I have smashed it in to rocks and into trees and it holds up great! Its a great bumper for the price and and it is extremely modifiable I modified mine to hold my RR light bar and Ive seen people put stingers and all sorts of other things on it, its a great bumper!
