Anyone successfully reset gear size with the Interceptor on 3.6 auto?
I tried and it put me in limp mode.
When I run a summary on the gauge it shows 4.56 axle ratio so it was entered correctly. I tried disconnecting the battery after clearing the codes (P0731 First gear ratio invalid, one code and one pending) and it goes right back to limp mode when I start to drive. I believe it's limp mode because it stays in 3rd gear the whole time with the CEL and reverse takes about 5 or 10 seconds to engage. I even tried putting it back to 3.73 and it still happens.
I emailed support at Aeroforce on Saturday morning and told them. Received an email back this morning stating disconnecting the battery should fix it...but it doesn't. Emailed them back and still waiting for a reply. Meanwhile I'm stuck with no JK. :(
So has anyone figured this out? Any help would be appreciated. I may just have to get a procal but I'm not even sure that will fix it. Plus I'll have to wait for shipment but I'd rather do that than have a dealer reflash and lose my other changes (tire size, TPMS threshold).
Edit: I have the 3.8 release of the Interceptor.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. The interceptor is supposed to work though so it sucks I have to spend the money for a procal as well. Not that it is a lot but I'm just disappointed in the interceptor. I will still use it to monitor engine functions though so not a complete waste.

Update for future searchers. I finally got everything working but it wasn't pretty. I purchased the flashcal but that didn't work right away either. Here are the steps that finally got it up and running again.
If that didn't work my plan was to use the flashcal to return vehicle to stock. Then use the interceptor to return the axle ratio 3.73. Then use the flashcal again to change to 4.56. But since it's working I am not going to mess with it any further. It's possible you may be able to just do the first step and then the return vehicle to stock step and have it work. But as I said, I'm not messing with it anymore.
If you found this thread, I know how frustrated you are right now. Be patient, hang in there, you'll get it eventually. Good luck.
- Plugged in the flashcal and ran the axle ratio option. The flashcal showed that the axle ratio was already 4.56 (had changed it previously with the interceptor but still went into limp mode).
- Used the flashcal to change axle ratio to 3.73.
- Used flashcal to change axle ratio back to 4.56 (figuring maybe the interceptor had missed a setting).
- Test drove...still went into limp mode.
- Cleared DTCs and disconnected the battery and left it overnight.
- Next morning reconnected battery and used flashcal to change tire size which worked.
- Used flashcal to check vehicle options and it still showed axle ratio as 3.73.
- Test drove again...limp mode again.
- Cleared DTCs and then used flashcal to return vehicle to stock.
- Changed tire size again which worked.
- Checked vehicle info and it showed 4.56.
- Test drove and all is good. So the only change the flashcal is aware of is tire size.
