Anyone running 4.56 and 33s?
I plan on running 33s for a long time and need to regear from my sad 3.21s... Looking at the chart it seems 4.56 would be just about perfect. Anyone running this combo? If so, how do you like it? I considered 4.88 only because the gears are easier to find, but 4.56 I think is where I'd really like to be at.

If you have an auto, i'd think 4.56s would be good with 33s, but if you're moving to 35's, 4.88 is what i think would work.

I know it's not a wrangler, but I ran 37s with 4.56 on my ram 1500 and it was way more than enough. I would imagine the same ratio with 33s would be more than enough as well. I am running 33s with my max tow gear ratio which I think is 3.73 and I've never had any issues

IMO a 33 6sp and 4.56 would be perfect.
But there is no reason to put gears on a 33. the stock gears will be just fine.
If you plan to go bigger in the future, then regear.
I have 4.10 and 34" tires and they work fine. But I would all but kill for a 4.88 or even 5.13.
Do 4.88's! Do it once and be done with it!
with 4.10's 6th gear @ 70 mph is around 2500rpm. But the engine feels better at 3000rpm closer to 80mph.

Unless you have 3.21 now, I also don't see a reason to regear. I had 3.21's with 33's for 60,000 miles! I should have done it sooner, but if I had the 3.73s, i could have lived with it and kept the 1200 bucks.
If you are staying with 33's, certainly don't go higher than 4.56's, if you're going to 35's or larger, definitely 4.56s, maybe 4.88's if you're in hilly country or tow all the time. I live in Delaware where its flat, and tow about every weekend, 4.56s are perfect for my set up.

Well put, from what I remember SW Missouri is pretty hilly.
Maybe a 4.88 would be better in the long run. Even with 33's.
Most 35's are around 34" so factor that into your decision.
