Anyone Running 3.5 coils w/o an ADJ Track Bar?

I don't know about a 3.5" coil lift, but I have 3" teraflex coils right now and don't run an adj trackbar. Seems to be fine, sometimes it seems a little flighty at high speeds. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure if an adj trackbar would fix that or not.

I have heard the same with 2 other people with 3" lifts.. i wouldn't think .5 would make that big of a difference... I may even lose .5 with the heavy crap i have on my jeep lol..
Just trying to get a real "you should because this...." and "if you don't these bad thins happen......"
I get a lot of people saying "you HAVE to run one or your jeep will explode" lol

Yeah, and see I don't know for sure how effective an adjustable trackbar is. A lot of people say you HAVE to use a steering stabilizer as well... I don't use a steering stabilizer either and my jeep runs great. No death wobble or bad body roll or anything. Just gets flighty/sways a bit if I'm going to fast, but it's a jeep thing

I have a friend that has the actual 3.5" AEV lift. That lift re-uses the stock track bar, but AEV accommodates it by using a raised TB bracket on the axle side and doing the drag link flip. I would note that even with the raised bracket, his axle was off center by almost 3/4". If you put a 3.5" spring in there and don't address the track bar in some form or fashion, your axle is going to be pulled to the driver's side by a significant amount.
I would also caution you that springs aren't apples to apples comparisons. Just because your Tereflex spring is 2.5", doesn't mean that changing to an AEV spring is necessarily going to give you 1" additional lift. My first spring was a 4" Pro Comp......I then changed to a 3.5" Rock Krawler. The RK springs were easily 1” to 1.5” taller than the Pro Comps when uninstalled, and after installation, my jeep actually sits higher on the RK’s than it did on the Pro Comps. They don’t all have the same compression ratios. You may or may not experience this between Tereflex and AEV, but just keep that in mind.

Running 3.5 RK coils. Haven't bothered with the front track bar yet, but I'll get around to it once I'm bored or out of things to do. My fenders are cut very narrow anyways, so the axle shift doesn't bother me.

Thanks for the info... Really just looking to see if I can toss them on for a few weeks so I can get my springs, wheels and tires off to sell...

Y, your jeep isn't going to "explode", but your axle will shift towards the driver's side. The implications would be additional stress on control arm bushings and depending on the orientation of your front shocks (shock body up vs. down), the passenger side shock may or may not come close to the frame. It's definitely not ideal, but probably manageable for a short period. The Rock Krawler track bar is on the less expensive end ($159) and would get you back centered. You should also consider the rear. That axle will sift to the passenger side a little as the jeep is lifted higher but the TB does not get extended. There are various axle-side brackets you can throw on to raise that mount to accommodate the extra lift if it bothers you.
