Default Anyone recently install a rear SRC bumper and tire carrier?

I just installed the Smittybilt SRC rear bumper and tire carrier. Has anyone recently installed one? The instructions weren't that great and I've had a few fitment issues. I've read that the smittybilt bumpers offered some installation issues but I got such a good deal on the bumper new I grabbed one.

The latch hits (barely) while trying to swing close. I need to push down with all my weight to get it to fit and latch close. I've made any adjustments I can but there really isn't anything. Also the rubber washer really presses in when it's latched shut, it seems like it will wear down over time and not latch as tight. I've attached Somme pictures.

Also the bumper leans in towards the jeep which I couldn't correct to save my life. The way the bumper bolts in I couldn't adjust that very much. It sits level left to right.

If anyone has recently installed one or has any knowledge on the src bumper I'd like to hear from you. Thanks!,

First photo shows how it hits slightly. Second photo shows the rubber washer, is that how it's supposed to sit when latched closed. The third photo is to show how he bumper and tire sit. Sorry that the photo is rotated.

Dude had all the same issues with my XRC. Have to use all mighty force to close and open swing arm, my washer is already rotted and my swing arm leans outward (wish my leaned in like yours...)

It's just the bumper quality....hit or miss.

Once I close its solid, just a pain to open back up. Gotta keep the hinges greased and rust free.

Sucks that it's going to be a pain in the ass to open and close each time. I'm see my wife will love that when she takes the jeep out haha

You should be able to loosen upper bolt on swing arm to move it down. I added a chain and retainer clip to keep my handle from coming up. I also added 2" receiver hitch above to put hitch basket when on trail.
