True dat Toadster! I made a rear trnuk top that holds it full time. Tops on; off whatever...Rampage has been using my JK for R&D so it came back with this on it yesterday!

Haven't got to wheel with it mounted yet...next Thursady.

There is a way to lock it, through the bottom plate...it uses a ball hitch coupler lock!

Isn't the base removable from the rest? Seems like you could still take it if it's just locked at the base.

Finally got mine delivered and installed.. would post pics, but the computer images provided earlier in this post are pretty much identical to how it looks. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

The installation took me about 30 minutes which included removing/reinstalling the spare tire. The jack sits up pretty stinkin high( about 10")above the top of the jeep.

Product seems to be sturdy and well made but.... for what it is I think it's over-priced (10-20 buck cheaper would seem fair) Having said that, it's the best way I've seen so far to mount a hi-lift on the jk w/o buying an aftermarket rear bumper/tire carrier or being able to fab something myself.

The true test will come when off-road, I'm curious to see the mounting bolts stay tight or not and if it rattles around.

You could throw a lock on the bottom mounting plate, but a person could still remove the entire assembly from the tailgate with a socket and some time.
