Fortunately, the owner of the dealership also belongs to my local Four Wheel Drive Club.

I know this whole topic sounds a little schizophrenic based on previous comments, but when considered with the above information it begins to make a LITTLE more sense. The fact that this dealer had a brand new Jeep on the lot that was lifted along with oversize tires helped in my argument.

The weird thing is that even though THIS dealership will honor the warranty another dealership can black mark your warranty coverage in the Chrysler database. There is even a thread on this site that explains how giving a bad review of service performed by the dealership can result in a negative impact on your warranty status! When in doubt keep your negative comments to yourself...at least at the dealership.

This is the truth. Some dealerships are mod friendly and some aren't. Always get to know your service guy and ask questions.

This basically covers what I was told last week at my local dealer. For most repairs the dealer will be the the decision maker on the repair however should Chrysler feel the need to send out an adjuster things may change. I was given a sheet of paper outlining what they will cover on a 2.5 or 3" lift . Nothing over 3" and must be the Mopar lift installed by the dealer . used Teraflex and Fox shocks and other parts . Cost for the 3" was in the area of $3200.00 . Very expensive but having the warranty may be important to some as it is to me. And i was told if the vehicle comes in and looks like you drove it off the side of a mountain that could cause them to deny covering the damage.

I know when I ever I visit my local dealer i bring a gift card for lunch for at least a couple of the service guys or mechanics. Cheap insurance.

There is a mod friendly dealship in my town. They have been installing the Mopar/Teraflex lift on 2 drs and 4 drs with 35's. The question I would raise if I were one of these Jeep owners is when I went out wheeling and flexing and the tire would hit the pinch seam and/or cause damage if it would be covered. I have noticed they do not take into account trimming the seam after install. There have been members that have noticed their 2013's coming with seams trimmed from factory. I did price the lift with install for shits n giggles and was shocked. Anybody capable could do it themselves.

As we travel all over the country, towing our Jeep behind our RV, it was a selling point.

Also, I'm quite pleased with the performance of the lift in the Arizona mountains so far. Not so happy about the pin stripping however. Soon we leave for Moab for a month. Later in the year we be trying it out in Ouray. All different type of wheeling - time will tell.
This is what my Dealership told me as well. the lift Will Not Void The Warranty, and if I was told differently by another dealership to report it to chrysler and mopar. The only Exception in that is the shocks. the fox Shocks are not covered by the chrysler warranty because they aren't a chrysler product. they are covered under their own warranty from Fox. On a side note no dealership will cover broken axle shafts broken differentials and what not from heavy wheeling. abuse voids the warranty Stock or Lifted, and I know some are calling me all sorts of names for using the term abuse, but lets face it jeeps while "trail rated" were not designed for the some of extremes that we expose them too.

Anyways to the OP I have the 3" stage 3 lift and 35" tires installed by the dealer and I love the lift. it rides great but it is expensive compared to the aftermarket lifts

Here in Salt Lake, Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge is now an exclusive AEV dealer. The service manager said that Chrysler has told them they will cover everything on their Jeeps no questions asked. Although I couldn't see spending $60,000 on a JKUR.

Thanks for all the input guys. I went with the teraflex 2.5 lift. I didn't have that kind of cash laying around for the mopar lift nor did I want a divorce!
