It might be worth your while going to a muffler shop and having them give you an estimate on doing it for you. I paid $120.00 for a Magnaflow stainless relocated under the driver side of my 2008 unlimited. Here are the specs on the muffler: Magnaflow 11226 14" X 4" X 9"

Not sure on the specific MPG improvement, I do know I gained about 1-2 MPG with the exhaust and Airaid CAI which I installed around the same time. It gives a nice mellow growl when you get on it and in my opinion it doesn't sound obnoxious. My two cents anyway, happy hunting.

Cheers

I think the 325 kit is just from the axel back.

My wife ordered me the $325 kit for an early birthday gift, and I installed it yesterday. It is cat back, not just rear axle back.
Sounds a little rice burner-ish, but it's not so loud and has a pretty nice tone.
I'm happy with it.
Removing the stock muffler from the rubber supports is a PITA though.

I have sent them 2 emails with no responce. I simply asked: Besides price, what is the difference between the $300 & $500 set. I also gave part numbers. I think the difference is that the $300 setup is a factory replacement(in style) & the $500 setup relocates the muffler in front of the axle. It doesn't show a good picture on 4wd.com. I'll let you know if I get a reply. Maybe they're busy.

I installed this last week. It is the exhaust shown here. Quadratec offers the same thing here for more $$. It's the same kit for the 4 door. Here are some installed pics.
