Bought one and brought the two big boxes home to install.
When opening, carrier was for JK, bumper was for TJ.
Took back to 4Wheel Parts and they installed for free.
Good thing, they had problems getting it to fit properly.
Since Body Armor company was only 3 miles from them.
A rep guy came with a truck load of different carriers to
get it all to fit perfectly. Don't know exactly what the problem
was, but glad I did not have to hassle with any install problems.
Like it, no rattles, swings easily, will hold up to 40" tire,
sits high and close in, and not too expensive.

Does the tire sit center? Or off to a side?

Love mine. And you can easily make a high lift mount like I did.

Heres another shot. The tire mounts centered.

Finally installed the bumper and swing. Very nice and thank you for the pm's they helped a lot. Directions need some pictures and better instruction.
No rattles yet but I was wondering is anyone is running a "spacer" or "bumper" between the tire and the swing?
I am running the stock rubicon wheel and tire and I see in the rearview the tire shaking a little bit. More than when it was attached to the gate but there it had the bumpers to steady it. I think the cut off piece of the rubber bumpstops might fit perfect.
Another question....I have the adjustment tire plate all the way out for the stock tire and rim, I'm looking to run 18" xd monsters with 35s. Will that fit?
Again thank you for the help.

that nut is actually a 36mm. anyone reading this in the future might want to spend an extra 30 bucks and buy a bearing and seal tool. I had the harderst time installing the lower seal in mine. And love live Hawaii it cost me over 100 bucks and two months 4 different seals to finally get it in. jeff at body armor helped out alot and even got to meet him at the expo show last month out here.

Hope that helps!
Thank you. It did help. I'm still getting a little shake in the tire but not much.
Nice jeep!

I agree. It's a large socket most won't have. 36mm.
Also, Body Armor has great customer service and will go out of the way to help.

I bought the "new" version: JK-2394 bumper, and the 5293 tire carrier.

The instructions do leave a lot to be desired, so I didn't rush. It was a fairly easy install, which I did by myself. It's very sturdy, doesn't rattle, and has been on a couple of overland trips with no difficulty.

i have one and love it as well. i did have to contact body armor to send me some shims which go below the lower bearing as i had some sag. every once in a while i have to adjust the bolts on the handle to tighten them up but otherwise ive had no problems. im gonna mount a rugged ridge hi lift mount meant for the stock tailgate hinges to the tire carrier when i get a chance. since i also have their 3rd brake light i cant fit a hi lift horizontal like the previous poster.
