Default anyone ever remove abs module?

I'm trying to remove my ABS module to take it in for repair but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the whole unit unbolted from the engine bay so I can access the torque bolts on the back to remove it from the hydraulic unit. There is a bolt on the side which is easy to remove but it looks like there are two nuts underneath the unit you have to access some how to remove it. I'm about to throw in the towel here. Anyone ever done this or know of a writeup up for the Jk? ?

How did you end up fixing your ABS issue?

I never removed mine, but did try to move it out of the way when replacing my MC. Unfortunately, I had the same problem trying to figure out how to remove it. I was able to work around it without moving it, so gave up.

However, here's a picture of the bottom of the ABS module, which should give you some insight of what's actually securing it from the bottom. It looks like after you remove the top screw and brake line connections, then some prying might be in order to get it to pop out. Looks like a rubber grommet on the end of a bolt is securing it to body.

I read your other post, of the dealer wanting $1200 to replace both ABS modules. Sounds like you've been working on this for awhile.

I would do the work yourself. You're looking at about a $300 for parts repair.
