Anybody out there running coil overs on the front only?
Hey guys. I'm thinking about running coil overs on my JK, but I don't have the cash to do the front and rear at the same time. Is anybody out there running coil overs on the front only with a short arm lift? I have a 3.5in lift with front lower and rear upper teraflex arms. Should I go to a long arm liftt before I do coil overs or would I be ok with short arms at first.

Since you already have front lower control arms you would need to purchase the front coilover kit, coilovers, longer front swaybar endlinks and possibly brakelines (or add brakeline brackets to your current aftermarket lines). Front driveshaft 1310/1350 is required if you do not already have one.

12" front coilover work very well with short arm systems. There are quite a few people on the forum that have front coilover only with shorts arms.

If you are thinking about going long arm. The best kit by far is the RK triple threat. That's what I will be putting on my rig. With coil overs mounted through the cab and notching the Frame. I used the double throw down mounts for front, I just haven't put the bypass yet.

I am running 37 s now I was running 39 michelins but had a really bad ride on the street, I am running 12". The only difference between running 12 and 14 is the shock works as a bump/ limit of up travel so it doesn't destroy the jeep. If u are going to run 40" then he the 14" set up. I am playing with spring rates now.
