Anybody know what would cause a grinding noise on acceration after jeep warms up?
When i accelerate very slowly from a dead stop there is almost like a light pitched grinding noise until i get past 5mph then it goes away. However if i accelerate fast from a dead stop there is no grinding noise so it only happens when i accelerate very lightly.
This doesn't happen when the jeep is cold only when it warms up from driving down the highway 5-10 miles. If i let the jeep idle from cold to warm it doesn't do it. So the jeep has to be driven down the highway until it warms up then if i stop at a stop light and accelerate very slowly this grinding noise happens. It has never happened at speeds over 5-10mph. It sounds like it is coming from the middle or the back.
Anyone know what would cause this. It happened after i put a 3" lift with 35" tires on. I have driven it like this for a few thousand miles and it hasn't gotten worse or better it has stayed the same. I can't seem to figure it out i have been thinking maybe it is the exhaust or something i'm not sure. It's a 2013 JK 4 door.
