If you have OME long travel kit installed on your JK, could you please tell me

1. What are the good things this kit provide
2. What are the weak ares this kit need to improve.
3. List other parts needed, (such as drive shaft, ball joint...), in priority order.

Thanks

1. it offers an outstanding ride and provides a lot of flex on the trail
2. if you get the +40 coils, they'll give you a 4" of lift and at that height, you really want some kind of track bar and drag link correction up front and track bar drop in the rear.
3. if you have a 2-door, you really should get a new u-joint style drive shaft and adjustable upper rear control arms so that you can set your pinion angle. if you have an automatic, you'll want to replace your front shaft as well - it's not critical but, you will tear off your boot the first time out.

OME long travel kit has two options: HD and LD

My JK is 4 door, has heavy offroad bumper front and rear, will have a 10000 lb winch
pretty soon. besides that, my JK is stock.

My questions is:

what actual lift will the HD set make for my JK

what actual lift will the LD set make for my JK

the LD coils will yield a little more than 2" of lift. the HD coils will give you a bit more than 3".

I'm installing LD coils this weekend and plan to take before/after measurements. Will post precise results on Sunday.

I'm pretty sure the OME LT kit from Northridge only comes with HD coils....I will soon know for sure on the height, but Dave said around 3 1/4" on an unlimited.

Dave can get whichever coils (LD or HD) you want. Ask me how I know!

You need at least 3 inches of lift for the long travel shocks.
