Default any probs with 33's?

Put on 33's with my 3.21 gears and I think I might want to go for some 4.10;s Has anyone got the same set up on 4 door 6 speed and if so how do you like the drive..... Do you feel that your clutch will need change as soon as your oil does?? Thanks for any input!!!

I have seen lots of photos with 33s on here. Its hard to search because of the small titles and the search engine sucks.

Dig a little and you will find many. Look in the show and tell section. You may have to go back a few pages.

Some look great wtih 33s and some just don't look right. Not sure why. I think if I bother to get bigger tires, I will move up to 35s as I already have stock 32s and they look fine to me. I would love to see 35s in person to see if it looks too big for my use. I tend to be attracted to the very agressive mud tires and not the highway All terains. I really loved my Parneli jones tires on my superduty and so I may give them a try on my next set. They tend to be a little bigger than their rating so 33s may really look beefy and they do very well off road in mud and sand. I had no complaints and they looked great to boot.

Good luck.

I've got a manual with 3:21s and it drives ok...it's perfect for daily driving. I am going to upgrade to 4:10s because the low end torque is not very good with the 3:21s.

Here's a pic of my Jeep...

I would install the 4.88's for two reasons. 1. If you have a 6spd, 6th is pretty tall and you need to take the RPM in the MPH VS. RPM charts we are all looking at and multiply it by the .84 ratio of 6th gear ( if you look the charts assume a 1 to 1 ratio). If you follow the chart for a JK with 33's and a 4.88 gear it looks like it's a bad choice at 3230 RPM's but if you multiply by .84 your final drive in 6th at 65 MPH you'll be at 2713 RPM's which is near the factory ratio and also back in the green on the chart. Go to this chart and work it out.

The second reason I'd do the 4.88 is if you decide to go the 35's you won't have to do another costly gear swap.
