Default Any nonlisted modifcations needed? (Teraflex 2.5)

I have a 2dr automatic -- steel front stubby and a Mopar steel bumper in the rear. The JK is both a daily driver and a weekend toy. I am really really trying to stay within a reasonable budget. However, I want to do things right the first time so that is why I am doing my research.

I am already planning to swap both my front and rear tracbars. I am also already planning to extend my brake lines/hoses. Is there anything else I need to make this lift compatible with my JK without any future problems? About how much height will this kit actually give my JK? (looking for 2.5" minimum to 3" tops) Will this kit level my JK or do I need to purchase puck spacers to level it out?

That is a good kit and the TF kits do run a little on the higher side i.e. 2.5" will yield a little more height. At 3"inches on a 2 dr you might want to start investing in a DS for down the road but I would say with the added steel it'll squish down to you'll be alright.

On a 2 door without a bunch of extra armor added, you could expect being in the 3-3.5" range. Possibly up near 4.
You'll want to do a little research on front adj ca's.
Since you have an auto, you'll want to watch that front driveshaft boot, and maybe even start putting money aside for new shafts?


These two in the FAQ's would be some good reading:

Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?

Which extra components you go with is a preference that only you can decide, but it's always good to go into the lift knowing what you 'could' run into...

I have that kit on my 2 door. You will get 3 inches or a bit more. With the bumpers you are running maybe closer to 3 inches.

I did put the adj TB on the front. The rear bracket that lowers the frame mounting point works fine. When you install the bracket the holes will probably not line up. Just bevel the outside top edge of the bracket with a file and it will line right up. The key to driveability is keeping the rear TB as close to parallel with the rear axle as you can. Lowering the frame mounting point works great.

I had three gussets welded to the front axle mount point to tighten it up. I also got the jks axle brace for the rear axle to strengthen that point. This year I am having the lowering bracket welded in along with some gussets.

My extended brake lines just arrived. I have been running stock lines for a year but they can easily get abused with this lift. Great kit, you will enjoy it and the capability you pick up with your JK is amazing.
